Where Do Stories Come From? | Beginning Writers Workshop with Kathleen Glassburn
Sunday, April 26 | 11:00 AM–12:30 PM at The LIDO Collective
Whether you’re a beginning writer or someone curious about exploring storytelling, fiction writing can feel both exciting and mysterious. Local author Kathleen Glassburn will be leading a “Where Do Stories Come From?” writing workshop at The LIDO Collective on Sunday, April 26th from 11:00am–12:30pm.
Designed for high school students and adults, this class invites participants to explore the origins of storytelling—those sparks of inspiration that grow into meaningful narratives. Drawing from her collection of short fiction, Kathleen will walk through her creative process, from discovery drafts and revisions to submission, offering insight into how stories take shape.
Participants will receive a printed story along with its real-life inspiration, and Kathleen will guide the group through discussion, brainstorming, and practical techniques to help generate ideas of their own. Whether you're interested in fiction, memoir, or essays, this workshop will provide approachable tools to begin (or deepen) your writing practice.
Seating is limited, so reserve your spot today.
$25 per participant.
