LIDO Collective is Hiring a Part Time Sales Associate (Mount Vernon, WA)
Compensation: Hourly, D.O.E.
Part-time (5 to 20 hours a week)
Job Description: As a Sales Associate at LIDO Collective, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service while showcasing your knowledge of our artists and products. Your goal will be to create engaging experiences that cultivate lasting customer loyalty and admiration for our gallery.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding, friendly customer service, recognizing that you are shaping the customer's first impression of our organization.
- Operate the Point of Sales (POS) system confidently.
- Actively engage with products by stocking, replenishing, folding, hanging, displaying, and merchandising to enhance sales opportunities.
- Safeguard inventory, cash register, and other assets.
- Answer phones promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and well-organized selling floor, register area, stockroom, and restroom.
- Stay updated on product knowledge, artists' bios, as well as mediums and techniques used.
- Implement established policies and procedures to aid in loss prevention.
- Generate and apply pricing labels for inventory items.
- Weekend and holiday work required, with availability most weekends and during store hours: Mon-Sat 10am to 5:30pm, Sun 12pm to 5pm.
- Provide year-round gift-wrapping services.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Desired Characteristics:
- Minimum of 1 year retail experience.
- Appreciation for various art styles.
- Passion for promoting local artists and businesses.
- Ability to contribute to a positive, fun, and unique work environment.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule based on business needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated work ethic with a sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Ability to move around the sales floor and stockroom, and perform bending, standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and occasional climbing (may require the use of a step stool or ladder).
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs.
- Eligibility to work in the US.
- Basic computer skills required, with the ability to learn the POS system and credit card processing.
- Knowledge of photography and social media is a plus.
