Peggy Alexander
Peggy Alexander is a retired R.N. and lifelong artist whose love of color has guided her creative journey. Over the years she has explored watercolors, oils, and acrylics, but about a decade ago she discovered collage—a medium that truly captured her imagination. During the isolation of COVID, she dove deeper into collage and mixed media, expanding her practice in new and expressive ways.
Peggy works with a wide variety of materials, from found and purchased papers to fragments of old paintings, magazine clippings, and anything that can be layered and glued to canvas. She often begins with a color or idea, allowing the piece to shift and evolve through multiple layers until it finds its own direction. For her, the process is playful, intuitive, and always full of discovery: “What fun!”
