Margaret Carpenter Arnett

Margaret Carpenter Arnett is a British-born artist, therapist, teacher, and writer who has spent most of her adult life in the western United States. A skilled watercolorist, she also works in pastel, mixed media, and collage, creating paintings that blend technical mastery with narrative depth. Her award-winning work is held in collections across the U.S. and England and has been featured in juried and solo exhibitions throughout the Northwest. In addition to her art practice, Margaret has over 30 years of experience as an art therapist, facilitating healing through creative expression. She is the author of Seasons of Change and The Art of the Inner Journey, and most recently published her memoir, Invisible Threads, in 2023. Her work—both visual and written—reflects a lifelong exploration of art as a pathway to understanding, connection, and transformation. She is currently represented by galleries in Seattle and Eastern Washington.
