Lindsey Kiniry
Lindsey Kiniry is an abstract impressionistic painter and graphic designer living in Bellingham, Washington with her husband and three children. Raised in a multigenerational family of artists—textile designers, woodworkers, architects, and painters—she was encouraged from a young age to create without limits. Her grandfather, a profound influence, often took her on impromptu trips to Seattle’s galleries and museums, nurturing her identity as an artist. Lindsey studied a wide range of mediums in college before choosing painting as her concentration, and later worked in graphic design while earning a Post-Baccalaureate in Art Education and a Master’s in Early Childhood Development. She taught art for several years before motherhood shifted her focus. After a long creative pause, she returned to painting during the pandemic, rediscovering her voice and passion. Her work explores gesture, emotion, and memory, often blurring the line between abstraction and impression. For Lindsey, art remains a lifelong journey of rediscovery and expression.
