Ellen Dale

Ellen Dale is a Mount Vernon-based artist who creates one-of-a-kind jewelry using fused and recycled blown glass. Originally from Michigan, Ellen moved to Washington in 1990 and spent over 20 years pouring her creativity into teaching elementary school.

Her jewelry blends organic forms, whimsical elements, and Asian-inspired design, often guided by the natural beauty and unpredictability of the glass itself. Ellen approaches each piece intuitively, working until it simply “feels right.” No two items are exactly alike, giving her work a unique sense of personality and presence.

Deeply connected to her materials and process, Ellen finds joy not only in creating, but also in seeing her pieces find new homes.
