Andi Shannon

Andi Shannon is a textile artist whose work draws inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounds her. Growing up in Alaska and now living in the Skagit Valley of Washington, Andi’s connection to the outdoors deeply informs her creative process. Her art is rooted in the textures and colors of the landscapes she knows intimately—moss-covered forests, shell-strewn beaches, driftwood shores, and expansive mountain views.

Working with fabric, thread, and yarn—materials woven into everyday life—Andi transforms the familiar into pieces that invite reflection and connection. From her 120-year-old farmhouse near the Skagit River, she creates work that reflects the layered richness of her environment.

Andi sees textile art as both approachable and profound: a tactile way to capture the subtle beauty of the natural world. She hopes her work brings a sense of joy and peace, delighting the eye and encouraging the soul
